The title for the dress is misleading as it is not just a plus size dress. I ordered a size 12, one size larger than what I normally wear, based on reviews. The material is polyester and spandex so ordering up one size seemed sensible. The dress fit perfectly, including the length. For reference, I am 5’4”, 155 lb. It is well made and the ruching near the waist is forgiving. This is the second R&M Richards dress I have ordered. The first one was chiffon and ran true to size. Both have been well made, in rich colors, and complimentary for a 65 year plus woman.Love the material and the way it fits. Very comfortable and flattering and perfect for the mother of the groom. .Very pretty good quality but a bit big in my arms and chest areaThe color is beautiful. It is deep purple/eggplant color. I purchased the size 6 dress. I am 5’2, 120. The dress needed considerable alterations in the shoulder straps and length. Consider creating this dress in a petite size. Alterations cost nearly as much as the dress itself.The quality of this dress is very nice, fit well but you should have very slender upper arms to this to be flattering. The size 6 was a perfect fit all over. I prefer to hide my less that firm upper arms and thought this would be great but it resulted in accentuating what I wished to hide. The short cap version worked best for me. The rushing at the waist is best with a shorter waistline. Being long wasted it just did not lay as flattering as I would like. It may accentuate a belly bulge but they make under garments to adjust that. I would have kept this if my brother had not told me I look like a linebacker in it. (Size 6 mind you) Length was perfect.Dress is beautiful and really nice material. It was very long, but I'm short so that was expected. Thought I would need an 8, but only 6 was available so I took my chances and it was perfect. Glad I went with the 6. I'm petite so bigger would probably have been too long waisted and loose at the top. The jewels look very pretty too. It was perfect for black tie wedding.Beautiful dress! I’m 5’2” 135 lbs and did have to have it hemmed and the top was a little loose so had it taken up a bit there also but it was well worth it!I bought it in 14W to wear at close friends' wedding. This dress is not lined and the fabric looks on the cheaper side. However it has some stretch to it which was good for me. I am only 5.2" so I had to get the dress hemmed like 4-5 inches and it fell right below ankles leaving shoes visible. I wore very small 2" heals with the dress. I found the top to be on the larger side and sleeves a little too wide, but I don't have wide shoulders so most tops are too wide for me. I did not care for the bling accents as they don't stay flat and looks like they are pins not parts of the dress. I am sure it's an easy fix I just did not have time to do it. Overall it's a comfortable dress that looks sophisticated, not flashy. I wish they used a bit heavier fabric that hung a little better.This dress is beautiful in navy color. It suits my brown skin. It hugs the body beautifully without emphasizing your fats. The crunched part made it look like you got good curves.The only thing about it is the length. It must be made for tall women.I am no more than 5'3". 44dd" breast, 36 waist. 38" hips. I am not at all sexy but, this dress made me look like I am. Even my husband agreed.I bought size 14 but, next time I would opt for next smaller size.I will hem 5 inches less for this size to suit my 5'3" height. But, in summary. Its beautiful and elegant for the price. Buy it!!Update: wore this at a friend's wedding and yes. I got lots of compliments and the best was from the bride herself. Worth it!I bought this dress to wear for my son's wedding but returned it as it was postponed too far into the future. The style really suits a taller woman, as it elongates the body. I'm 5'7'', weigh 165 and bought the size 14. It fit me perfectly, and wasn't too tight nor too loose. The waist has a light rusching to the side which is very feminine and figure flattering. The hem fell to the top of my dress sandal which has a 2'' heel. If I had kept it, I would have needed to pin my bra straps so they wouldn't show where the rhinestone eppelets gathered the dress straps. The eppelets had just enough sparkle and weren't over the top with bling. I loved how the cold shoulder design of these sleeves were stylish but supported my less than toned arms, lol. The fabric is polyester but wasn't too heavy and had a nice drape to it. It has a bit of a daring side slit that extends a few inches north of the knee. It was a bit much for me, so I would have had the slit sewn south a bit, lol. All in all, it's a quality dress with a terrific price point.This dress is beautiful. Very elegant and nice. I’m 5’4 and it hits the floor. (Without shoes) I’m returning the dress however because it isn’t great for my body. My stomach really shows and I don’t like it.This dress is worth every penny it is so beautifully made, very comfortable and extremely flattering.I took a chance and ordered this dress to wear to a wedding, and it did not disappoint. True to size. Quality material. Looks great.
